Brussels, capital of the kingdom of Belgium is also the capital of Europe. It is a city that loves good food, lives life its way and expresses itself in a style very much its own.
Headquarters of the European Union, Brussels is an international financial centre and home to the European headquarters of over two thousand multinationals. Brussels offers high-calibre scientific resources and has flexible economic infrastructures that have enabled it to keep pace with the great technological changes of the 21st century.
However, despite its European dimension and despite all the different languages spoken, the city kept the humility and friendliness of its inhabitants. Let yourself surrender to the charm of the very “village-like” spirit of a cosmopolitan metropolis.
The SQUARE is housed in the extensive former Palais des Congrès, an elegant, architecturally significant building originally constructed for the 1958 World Expo. Many of the original features, including spectacular murals by Paul Delvaux, René Magritte and Louis van Lint, have been carefully restored and are now juxtaposed with contemporary design.
The SQUARE is situated on the Mont des Arts. Nearby are the Royal Palace and several Mont des Arts’ renowned museums. It is also located between the world famous Grand Place and Le Sablon, known for its antique shops and cosy terraces. In the many bars and restaurants in the city centre you will have the opportunity to enjoy the typical Brussels gastronomy and savoir-vivre.
